About Bergy's Honey
Hi, my name is Glenn, I live here in Edmonton. I am the sole proprietor of my business, Bergy`s Honey. My adult children help me when I need some hands and it is my hope that eventually, several years from now, they take over. We love bees; the fascinating lives they live and the things they accomplish. I have several hives outside the city on a farm that does not use chemicals to grow the crop. In fact, the crop is know as a "cap crop" which is used to add nitrates to the soil naturally. The bees have made us a nice hearty honey from this crop that includes several plants like sunflower, two species peas, two species wheat, rye, sorghum, millet, radish, turnip and flax. The crop being close to Edmonton may offer some resistance to seasonal irritants that we all live with.
