About Birchwood on the River

We have 14 wooded acres, including 1000 feet of water front. Five cottages that ensure privacy and independence - all facing the South River. There are fishing boats to rent to explore the river. Or you can always bring your own and park it at our dock for an extra fee. We are a cottage and trailer park with established seasonal vacationers. Located along the South River in Nipissing, Ontario is a virtual paradise that you have to visit. Birchwood Cottages & Trailer Park is more like a resort than a park. You are treated to an escape from the hectic life you normally lead to a quiet and friendly space you can call your own for the time you are there. It doesn't exist you say - we are here to show you it does!

    Drove 7 hours to get their checked in to the deer cottage . Opened door the smell was fowl toilet was running water on bathroom floor !! Told us smell was from last people , they were east indians was told thats prob why it smells !!! Put us in wolf cottage next , to tired to care after 7 hours driving just wanted to have a shower and rest .. finally went for a shower around midnight , couldnt finish the smell fron the water and steam was so fowl I THREW UP !!!! spent the next 3 hours repacking the van managed to get a few hours sleep ..Checked out about 10 am after staying all of 15 hours ,charged me $200 dollars and said oh sorry about that !! spent too days driving there and home , Good luck finding another place on such short notice with a dog !!! stayed here several times in the past with last owners Joe and his wife NEVER AGAIN NOT IF IT WAS FREE !!!!!!!
