About Black Rock Resort

Hildur and Sverre Kjevik emigrated from Norway and unexpectedly fell in love with Black Rock Resort. In 1963 they purchased the family-run business because the serenity and beauty of the property reminded them of their Norweigian riverside farm. Their daughter, Karen, now carries on their dream by sharing Black Rock with visitors from all over the world. Find fabulous fishing right off the break wall or take a short boat ride into Georgian bay where you can catch bass, pike, lake trout, salmon, perch, whitefish, and rainbow trout. We offer docking and a fish cleaning shed for the avid fisherman looking for a new spot to reel in their catch of the day. Explore our cliff-side property by going on a hike, or hitting the water with a kayak. We have the equipment you will need to enjoy a game of volleyball, texas horseshoes, soccer, or basketball. Afterwards, cool off in the crisp fresh water right outside your door.family friendly, campfire, s'mores, marshmallows, warm, summer nights At Black Rock Resort we work hard to provide the most convenient holiday possible. Steps from your cabin you will find complete laundry facilities, boat rentals, a sheltered harbour with ample docking, life jackets, and soon we will be re-opening our sauna.
