The conception and creation of the brand DS Diamond, lead back to the thrilling love story of its founders, Daniel and Sandra. Crushed by the politico-social and financial crisis that took over their home-country, which particularly peaked following the Beirut Port explosion in August 2020, the young Lebanese lovers found themselves unable to afford the customary diamond ring, imposed by traditions, as the sole expression of a happy and prosperous marriage. Refusing to sit idle, the aspiring couple decided to conquer all obstacles and pursue a fresh start in Montreal. Driven fundamentally by their deep belief in the butterfly effect, in which the small actions of individuals would converge and create an actual universal impact, here are the motivations behind the creation of DS diamond: 1- Contesting the era of rigid traditions where only vastly expensive diamonds can truly and exclusively express true love. 2- Refuting the massive environmental and ethical implications associated with traditional diamond mining. 3- Making diamonds, that are known to be among the most beautiful jewelry on earth, accessible to all budgets and needs, and not only to the fortunate elites. Hence, after careful consideration and commitment to offering superior quality jewelry, the Moissanite gemstone was chosen, holding the same characteristics as traditionally mined diamonds, in terms of clarity, brilliance, varieties in colors and shape, along with extreme durability, all while being ethnically grounded and eco-friendly.
