The Downtown Optometry Clinic is a vibrant provider of vision care to the people of Fredericton and the surrounding area. Our optometrists and staff believe in complete patient care, and seek to put into practice the products and services necessary to show we value your vision. From eye health to the provision of high quality eye glasses and contact lenses, we strive to exceed our patients' expectations with the goal of being a truly patient care based practice. Our optometry clinic has been continuously operating in downtown Fredericton, NB, for over 60 years. Dr. Calvin Smith and Dr. Bronwyn Mulherin provide comprehensive vision health care with a staff of six with two optometric assistants and one optician. The optometry office has its origins when Dr. John Phelan commenced practice in 1947. Dr. Calvin Smith purchased the practice in June of 1980 and Dr. Bronwyn Mulherin joined him in September of 2007 & Dr. Amanda Bartlett joined the practice in August 2014.
