Licensed Naturopathic Dr and Homeopath since 1989. A whole-systems approach to medicine is a comprehensive, holistic approach to healing. The body/mind can be compared to a complex adaptive system. Disease symptoms develop when the system is unable to successfully adapt to a particular stress (acute or chronic). Symptoms can be considered a red flag reflecting the underlying disorder. Symptoms can be reduced or cured once the underlying cause is recognized and removed. Each client is interviewed to understand and determine the individual underlying cause of their condition. Through Information gathering, appropriate testing and physical exam. With enough information, the right treatment can then be achieved using the most efficient, appropriate and attainable combination of the systems available to Naturopathic medicine.
