Relaxation/therapeutic massage: Relaxation massages are smooth, gentle treatments that promote relaxation, relieve some muscular tension and increase circulation. Therapeutic Massage use techniques that are mild, such as friction to help break up adhesions and to increase range of motion. Coupled together the treatment is relaxing and has many health benefits including increasing circulation, increased skin tone, quicker healing times, increased range of motion, and pain-relief. Deep Tissue Massage: Tissue is warmed up using relaxation techniques. Deep tissue techniques are used to realign tissue fibers and to help the body function properly. The aim is to find and break up muscles and connective tissues that have scar tissue, adhesion and tension knots. This treatment is great for musculoskeletal problems. I do recommend booking 45 minutes for the first treatment to assure enough time for treatment and assessment, following treatments need less time for assessment/discussion.
