About Montreal Art Center and Museum
The Montreal Art Centre is a not-for-profit community arts centre. Since 2010 we have been the home to hundreds of member artists working in over 50 open and private studio spaces, plus additional shared Co-Op Members shared spaces. We are located in Griffintown at 1844 William Street, in a historic patrimonial building built in 1879.Our mission is to support, assist and promote locally based visual and performance artists. For our professional member artists we understand the challenges faced in their difficult chosen career path. For our emerging, amateur and hobby artists, we bring our members together in a strong collaborative community. We work diligently to support mutual areas of interests and goals.
