NONIA is unique in a world that is catered to by mass produced and mass marketed goods, a world of chain stores and global brands. Our products are hand-made by Newfoundland and Labrador women, in busy homes and lively kitchens. We have everything you might want for a baby, a relative, a friend and of course for yourself. Many more items are available upon request and Special Orders are also welcome. Visit us and make your choice...NONIA is the Newfoundland Outport Nursing and Industrial Association, which was founded in 1920 to assist in providing medical care to the outports of Newfoundland. It continues today as a not-for-profit cottage industry producing handknit items that reflect the spirit and tradition of Newfoundland and Labrador.
